Best Pregnancy Purchases to Date

I am officially beyond the halfway point of my pregnancy. This has honestly felt like the longest 22 weeks of my life, which is shocking considering this year was flying by prior to finding out we were expecting.

I have been very adamant about not buying a bunch of things for my pregnancy unless I felt they were absolutely necessary. I hate clutter and extra crap laying around, so I try to be intentional with everything I purchase. As much as I tried to avoid it, as time progressed, there were more and more things I felt like I needed to continue to be comfortable and exist in my new pregnant body.

Here’s my top 5 purchases thus far:

  1. The Honest Co prenatal vitamins and DHA: No brainer here. These have been great, my eldest sister recommended them to me when I found out I was pregnant. They’re very clean, non-GMO, easy to swallow – a 10/10 for me.
  2. Calzedonia Maternity Leggings: Full disclosure, these don’t fit yet, still lots of room in the belly area, but they are so comfy! They’re a stretchy cottony feel and the perfect wearable legging. They are not workout leggings. The best part – 2 for $50. Can’t beat it.
  3. Pregnancy Pillow: I started to get really uncomfortable around week 16 or 17 and my solution of using one of my couch throw pillows between my legs to sleep at night was not cutting it. Enter: the pregnancy pillow. I googled ‘best pregnancy pillow’ and this one showed up as the top rated in some article I read. It was relatively inexpensive as well. I have no complaints.
  4. True & Co Bras: These were actually my first pregnancy purchase. The first thing that grew for me was my already ample bosom, so I needed something practical and comfy. These bras are it. Seamless, soft, semi-supportive. Overall a great purchase.
  5. King Size Mattress/Bed: After we got back from our summer holiday in Florida, I knew we needed a bigger bed. I was already invading Chad’s space with my excessive pillows and I was growing more uncomfortable by the day. So now we have a king size mattress and bed. Our first time ever owning a king size bed and I don’t think I’ll ever go back. So worth it.

So there you have it, the five things I’ve purchased thus far during my pregnancy. All have been incredibly helpful for navigating this first pregnancy relatively unphased. I’m very happy with all of these purchases and am honestly feeling like I won’t need to be buying much else (for myself) before baby’s arrival.
